Donabate Golf Club is a mature tree lined 27-hole parkland course, which was founded in 1925. Nine new holes were opened over the last five years. All of the original greens have been redesigned in this time. The 27 greens are now sand based and playable all year round. Water hazards also came into play on nine holes. It is an enjoyable and challenging course for golfers of all abilities and requires good course management skills. A new luxurious clubhouse was opened in January 2003. Members and visitors can now enjoy facilities, which are second to none; they can avail of up market dining facilities in the restaurant and also a bar snack menu. A fully stocked pro-shop run by former European tour player Hugh Jackson, who will be happy to look after your equipment and clothing requirements. Hugh is also available for lessons or can provide a clinic for corporate groups. Visitors are welcome all year round, and can be facilitated at weekends provided bookings are made in advance. Special group rates and off peak green fees are available by contacting our golf administrator, Brian May Donabate Golf Club is situated near Dublin Airport just off the M1 motorway. Although only 12 miles from Dublin City center; Donabate still retains a country charm and character all its own.
